Growing Tobacco - Season 2013

Saludos,

Greetings, green thumbers and gordo cigar lovers. We have planted tobacco seeds as we're undertaking growing a tobacco crop this year. These are the fledgling plants at about 5 weeks. We used Havana-strain seeds that we used to grow a small crop in 2009. We are growing quite a few more this year though and will continually update you as to our progress. The south Louisiana weather proves perfect for growing this versatile crop. And in case you were wondering, it is perfectly legal to grow your own tobacco as long as there is no commercial intention (otherwise you would need a permit). But we recommend double-checking with your local jurisdictions.

Until the next post, siempre fumando,
Habana Port
