La Flor Dominicana Cigar Event

Saludos,

Greetings, HP fans. We would like to inform you of our next cigar event here at Habana Port Cigar Merchants which continues the next few months of a plethora of top-rated cigars being featured in the shop.

The next cigar tasting and event will be hosted by La Flor Dominicana, the cigar company that started the boutique cigar movement. And this event comes just in time as their much-anticipated new cigars have just landed in our humidor. The event will take place Saturday, October 8, 2011 from 1 to 4 PM.

Here are the details of the tasting:

We will offer a "Buy 3 Get 1 Free" special on any LFD cigar which is available in several lines/blends. You are saving 25% compared to a normal purchase of these 4 cigars. Our locker members will receive a free cigar but the "Buy 3 Get 1 Free" offer is open to anyone during the event.

If you purchase any 20+ count box from LFD, you will receive 10% off PLUS 7 cigars free.

Anyone who buys the 4-stick offer will receive a raffle ticket for La Flor giveaways that afternoon which will include cigars, sampler packs, and the rare LFD Airbender cap. A box purchase will get you 7 raffle tickets.

Food and drinks will be provided as well.

And back by popular demand, we will feature the Longest Ash Contest in which the smoker who holds onto the longest ash intact will win a La Flor freebie. We suggest you purchase the Digger (the Double Ligero beast that appeals to large cigar fans) to win this contest.

So take advantage this day, stock up and save on the great small-batch cigars from La Flor Dominicana!

Remember the event date:
Saturday, October 8, 2011
1 to 4 PM

Company Details:

La Flor Dominicana is a creation of Ines and Litto Gomez. This company created the boutique movement that has taken the cigar world by storm. Always made in small lots, LFD represents passion, art and quality. The lines we represent in the humidor include the ever-full-bodied Double Ligero (Rush Limbaugh's favorite cigar), the Ligero, Ligero Cabinet (Oscuro), the Air Bender (whose Chisel received the 10th spot in Cigar Aficionado's Top 25 List for 2010), the Premium Line, Reserva Especial, the Coronado by LFD, the Mysterio and Double Press.

*NEW* La Flor Dominicana Diadema Duo (Natural and Maduro)

The La Flor Dominicana Diadema Duo (Natural & Maduro) is a limited production pair of giant diadema cigars in a coffin that debuted in 2011. These full-flavored smokes are extremely smooth and represent the philosophy of La Flor Dominicana.

The Natural Diadema has a Habano Nicaraguan wrapper while the Maduro is a Habano Nicaraguan Ligero wrapper. Both cigars in the pack have Dominican binder and filler. A light earth and wood flavor profile will last you about 85 minutes. The strength is about medium.

And during the event only we will offer 10% off this 2-count box! Wow, what a deal. Normally the cigars are $32.95 but save more by purchasing the set for $29.65! These cigars are a limited release so be sure to stock up while you can!

*NEW* Casa de Tabaco (featuring the Air Bender Maduro)

In true creative fashion, Litto Gomez has done it again! The much anticipated La Flor Dominicana Casa de Tabaco (featuring Air Bender Maduro) is an amazing handcrafted Casa de Tabaco humidor. That's right. This piece was created to look like a tobacco curing barn, but this also functions as a cigar humidor as well.

The tobacco house comes with 24 Air Bender Maduro cigars measuring 6 1/2 inches by a 54 rg. The humidor has a tray to store a lighter and a cutter and the humidor will accept any humipack-type humidification unit.

The wrapper is a Habano Brasil maduro leaf while the binder and filler are the same as the Air Bender "Natural" (which is all-Dominican). A dominant earth and sweet toastiness proliferate the palate and the cigar burns for about 65 minutes. The strength is about medium to medium-strong.

This is a limited release so be sure to stock up while you can! (See picture above)

We hope to see you here for the event!

Until the next post, siempre fumando,
Habana Port
